Community Classes

The HCS Annex houses a wide range of curriculum and materials to provide choices to enrolled families. Also, a wide variety of classes are offered on our campus.
In addition, each student enrolled in Hickman Charter School is provided with funds each year to use towards classes in the community and materials not already provided by our program. Your EC is an important resource in deciding how to use these funds. The two broad categories for this funding are classes and curriculum/materials.
The Current Vendor Class List contains information about local businesses who provide opportunities for our student to engage in a range of activities. Please be aware that Vendor Funds can only be applied to group class opportunities (three or more students per instructional session), not private lessons. Check the Current Vendor Class List periodically as new vendors may be added. Guidelines for how to access these classes can be found on the Current Vendor Class List.

Field Trips & Extra Materials

In addition to activities at local businesses, vendor funds are sometimes approved for Hickman Charter School events and select field trips that have associated costs, such as Outdoor Education, our Angel Island Living History trip and the iFly indoor skydiving field trip.
Vendor funds may also be used to purchase extra curriculum or materials, please read the Vendor Fund Curriculum Policy document and then the Pre-Approved Vendor List. These documents are updated as changes occur so please be sure to check the current documents as you make your decisions. Links to order forms are in the Pre-Approved Vendor List and vary depending on the vendor.
Visit Our Vendors
Though not a "vendor", we have established a partnership with the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock, whereby interested Hickman Charter School families can apply for grant funds to subsidize the cost of their offerings.
